Teeth Whitening

Stains and discoloration on your enamel can occur for a variety of reasons, including age, genetics, and even the use of certain medications. Thankfully, our Kent, WA office provides two types of teeth whitening: at-home whitening and Sinsational® Smile in-office teeth whitening system.

At-home teeth whitening trays can be worn in the comfort of your own home. Once we’ve made a detailed impression of your smile, we’ll create custom oral trays. All you have to do is wear both them and our high-grade whitening gel together for a short period of time every day. With this technique, you can whiten your smile anywhere from four to eight shades!

Sinsational Smile in-office teeth whitening uses patented silicone pre-filled trays and an LED accelerating light to activate the gel’s whitening agents. Sinsational Smile only takes 20 minutes, and its unique whitening pen makes home touch-up whitening easy!

Veneers

Veneers are an excellent cosmetic choice if you have several dental flaws that may need correcting, such as chips, cracks, stains, or even gaps. Veneers consist of very thin pieces of dental ceramic that are personalized for your smile and designed to fit over your existing teeth, effectively giving your smile a whole new look. The process takes approximately two to three visits to complete, and during that time, we will make every effort to ensure that your new veneers look and feel natural and comfortable.

When your veneers are placed, you'll be pleased to see that they look like your natural teeth. While veneers are stain-resistant, Dr. Dhaliwal and Dr. Hainer may recommend that you avoid coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco to maintain the beauty of your new smile.

Bonding

Bonding can be used to improve the aesthetic value of your smile by erasing small cracks, gaps, areas where a cavity has been removed, and even stains. Our composite resin material is carefully and precisely sculpted over a molding gel that is then placed onto the affected tooth. We then use an LED light to harden it, resulting in a smile that looks fresh and polished. Tooth bonding can also be used for teeth fillings instead of amalgam fillings.

Bonding is generally less expensive than other cosmetic treatments and usually can be completed in one visit to our Kent, WA office.

All Ceramic Crowns

At Kent Dental Clinic, we strive to offer cosmetic options for all of our treatments. That’s why you can choose to receive all-ceramic crowns when restoring tooth structure. These crowns look and feel very natural, and are stronger than the traditional method of layering and pressing. Since the crown is made from a single block of ceramic material, it doesn’t have an unsightly black line that can sometimes appear at the gumline when relying on more traditional materials. Ceramic is biocompatible, and it may help rejuvenate your soft tissue so that it grows back alongside your new restoration. It even reflects light in the same way as natural enamel.

Full Zirconia Crowns

Dental crowns made from zirconia are relatively new, but the material has been a strong presence in the medical world for years. Today, it can be used to craft restorations that are durable, beautiful, and long-lasting. If you have allergies or extreme sensitivity to materials commonly used in dental crowns, you may be a viable candidate for zirconia crowns, and very little preparation is required in order to accommodate them within the mouth. Unlike traditional metal and porcelain crowns, Zirconia crowns allow light to pass as a normal tooth would, making them look completely natural. Many of our patients have been very impressed with the results!
